Prangin Mall is a shopping mall in the heart of George Town, Penang. It is located at Prangin Road (now Jalan Dr Lim Chwee Leong), next to Komtar Tower, and is linked to both Komtar and the neighbouring mall via overhead sky bridges. It has 11 floors, including 5 carpark floors with 1,600 parking bays, 7 retail floors, 613 shop lots, as well as 95 units of kiosks and push-carts.

The concept of Prangin Mall business and price range is providing a cost-effective product service by targeting middle-lower income audiences. It has its own specialty: the audiences who visited are the majority of the working crowd in the Komtar area, local and international tourists, and youth and family crowd in the George Town City Centre. As per the latest update for the year 2022, Prangin Mall produced approximately 6 million shopper footfall and 1.2 million vehicular footfall per annum.

It was opened to the public in 2001 as Phase 3 of the Komtar project, right next to the Rapid Penang bus terminal in Komtar, making it easily accessible to locals and tourists alike. One can take the free-of-charge Rapid Penang CAT bus from anywhere within George Town’s UNESCO World Heritage Site to get to Prangin Mall. Furthermore, as most Rapid Penang bus routes on Penang Island pass through the Komtar bus terminal, Prangin Mall can also be reached via any Rapid Penang bus heading to Komtar.

Prangin Mall has since gained a reputation as a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike.
