Organizer

Started in 2005 by a group of Japanese ladies in Penang, our objective is to promote Japanese culture to Penang.

  • We strive to be an effective bridge for cultural exchange between Japanese nationals and Malaysians in Penang.
  • We advocate a 'Hands-On' Japanese experience for participants. This means that participants get to wear Kimonos instead of watching a kimono fashion show or learn and perform a Japanese dance instead of just watching Japanese people dance.
  • We provide genuine opportunities for Japanese and Malaysians to meet and have meaningful discussions on what it is like to be a Japanese or vice versa.
  • We strive to introduce new sustainable and accessible technologies or trends from Japan that benefit our environment and society.
  • We encourage a positive educational environment for children, stressing the importance of being multi-lingual, multi-cultural, and multi-faceted to foster the growing numbers of "international citizens."
